 Dr. Kevin Treston began his professional career as a primary school teacher over forty years ago and then moved to the secondary school. During the last thirty years he was worked as a lecturer and administrator at a Teachers College and University and as a consultant in fourteen countries. Kevin's work has taken him to far away places like snow swept Labrador and Newfoundland, the jungles of Sri Lanka, to Rome, Ireland, the USA and England, among tribal battles in west Papua New Guinea, to South Africa and Hong Kong, the Philippines and Scotland. His academic qualifications include MA (Hons), M.Ed, PhD, post doctoral studies at Loyola (Chicago), Boston College and the Catholic University of America (Washington). He was Visitng Scholar to Boston College. Kevin has graduated six levels of Tai'Chi, a unit in Aromatherapy and a certified trainer in Covey's Seven Habits of Highly Effective People. During the last 30 years Kevin has conducted seminars with approximately half the staffs of Catholic schools in Australia, from Broome to Cairns, Alice Springs to Kalgoorlie. He has written 14 books, four of them have been published overseas. His areas of consultancy include education, health care, facilitation, spirituality, leadership, church renewal and pastoral care. Kevin and Kathryn live in a beautiful restored "Queenslander" in Wilston, Brisbane and love playing with their border collie, Sammy. In their previous home, Kevin planted 400 rainforest trees over a period of 11 years and lovingly nurtured their growth. Kevin has a vital interest and passion for ecological concerns and a creation centered spirituality. Currently he is developing a major project A Story for Our Time: Towards a Christian Theology within Creation as a cooperative project with friends in England. Kevin's latest book is entitled: Walk Lightly Upon the Earth and it was published in 2003.
