Canon Australia Scholarship
I am delighted to announce that a new annual scholarship will be available for students of Australian Catholic University (NSW) studying Japanese. The Japanese Studies Program, School of Arts & Sciences (NSW) will manage the scholarship, commencing in 2004.
This scholarship has been made possible with the kind generosity of Canon Australia to Japanese studies, School of Arts & Sciences (NSW) back in September 2004.
The successful applicant will receive A$1 000 as a supplement for participation in the ACU National Exchange Program or a Study Tour organised by the School's Japanese studies program.
Interested students should contact Ms. Haruko Asakura, Lecturer in Japanese Studies, ACU National -Strathfield (Mount Saint Mary) Campus. Successful applicants for the Canon Australia Scholarship need to effectively present a series of clear objectives as well as short and long term goals that would arise from the activities related to the scholarship. There will also be a need to include some information on your present financial situation. This information need be no more than 1200 words.
The closing date for the applications is end of April each year.
Applications can either be made by mail, or they can be hand delivered.
The successful applicant will be advised as soon is practically possible, after the closing date for applications.
