There are seven scholarships available to ACU students exclusively, some of these are full scholarships. A full scholarship will provide the recipient with an economy return airfare plus a monthly stipend of 80,000 yen (approximately A$1,200 depending on the exchange rate). Free tuition is part of all scholarships.
These scholarships will allow ACU students to study at Nagoya University of Foreign Studies, Immaculate Heart University or Hijiyama University.
Foreign students are permitted to work part-time in Japan.
ACU has an exchange relationship with the above universities and Sophia University. ACU students are exempt from tuition fees. Such exchange relationship enables our students to engage in a language / culture immersion program on both a short-term (two weeks) and longer-term (six months to one year) basis.
There are also many teaching positions open to our graduates. These positions generally do not require the successful candidates to speak Japanese, although some basic knowledge of the language and culture will help you personally to adjust better. These positions are well-paid by Australian standard, and they provide great opportunities for young Australians to experience and observe how international economics work first-hand.
