AIMS

The Centre aims to promote:

  • Lifelong learning for a more personally fulfilling life;

  • Lifelong learning for a stronger democracy and more inclusive  society;  

  • Lifelong learning for a more highly skilled and knowledgeable workforce.



STRATEGIC PRIORITIES

1.  Research and Development – Undertaking research and development relevant to the mission of the University and government priorities.

2.  Policy Advice – Providing policy advice to government and community agencies on issues consistent with the realization of lifelong learning for all.

3.  Networks and Partnerships – Facilitating the establishment of networks and partnerships among and between education providers and a range of other institutions, agencies and enterprises committed to learning across the lifespan.

4.  Conferences and Seminars – Conducting and presenting at conferences, seminars, workshops and professional development activities.

5.  Publications - Producing and disseminating a range of scholarly research publications, policy-oriented issues papers, and documents designed to improve theory, research and professional practice in the field of lifelong learning.

6.  Teaching and Learning - Promoting adherence to lifelong learning in teaching and learning across the lifespan.
