IMPACTS
Research and development activities undertaken in the field of lifelong learning at ACU seeks to contribute substantially to the realisation of lifelong learning for all. In particular we are concerned to make an impact through:
- Supporting and enhancing policy initiatives designed to promote the ideals of economic advance, social inclusion, and personal development inherent in the notion of lifelong learning;
- Providing expertise and research capacity in the domain of policy development, monitoring, review and assessment in the area of lifelong learning initiatives;
- Giving specific assistance in the conception, articulation, implementation and assessment of particular policies;
- Profiling Australian Catholic University as a university committed to realising the goals of lifelong learning for all, especially insofar as they pertain to the provision of lifelong learning to those groups in society who may otherwise be disadvantaged in obtaining access to and successful participation in lifelong learning provision;
- Establishing linkages and promoting interconnection between policies, programs and initiatives in Australia with similar endeavours taking place in the wider international arena.
