I agree that breast cancer screening can improve the health of women less than 40 years. I don't agree that this screening will be beneficial for health and quality of life of women over 70. Moreover, having mammograms is a chore in busy lives, so there should be good reasons for doing them. GPs need to talk to women with histories of breast cancer in the family. Rose Griffith.
