I only like dark chocolate but do not eat it very often as I always believed it was not particularly good for you.

Yes, I love dark chocolate. Especially with roasted almonds, which I accept may negate the benefits. My father and 13-year-old daughter (among other family members) share (d) my passion, so I assume some genetic predisposition! My father, while dying after a stroke at the age of 77, was a fit and healthy man right up until then.

I like dark chocolate always. However, I am conscious of my weight gain and eat dark chocolate now and then only, but definitely once a week.

Yes I do enjoy eating dark chocolate, but I would mostly prefer to eat milk chocolate. I have heard that dark chocolate is good for you once in a while, but I have also been told that too much dark chocolate can sometimes make you a bit constipated. This could be due to the fibre that it contains perhaps? (I think bananas are also high in fibre and are another type of food not to eat too much of in case you get constipated. Please correct me if I'm wrong). So in conclusion, I do enjoy a bit of dark chocolate now and again, but in moderation, just like everything else.

Dear Chris, herewith is a reference to related articles why fibre is good for health. /Ed http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/entrez/query.fcgi?db=pubmed&cmd=Display&dopt=pubmed_pubmed&from_uid=7905548&tool=ExternalSearch
