Professor John Coll

Prof Coll

Professor John C Coll, currently Professor in Chemistry, is Pro-Vice- Chancellor (Research and International) at ACU National. His position is based in Sydney. Professor Coll has extensive research experience into Natural Products Chemistry and Marine Chemical Ecology. His recent research reports on the nature of chemicals that attract sperm to eggs in the mass spawning of corals on the Great Barrier Reef.

 

Monika Bhatia, Research Officer

Monika

Monika Bhatia has a postgraduate in Humanities and Social Sciences and a long history of community engagement at relevant Federal, State and Local Government levels. She is engaged with a cross-section of non-profit organisations working at the intersection of social policy research and societal practice.

 

History of the Project

This website was initiated in March 2003 following the Vice-Chancellor's priority research theme of Ageing and Quality of Living submitted to the National Research Priorities Task Force of the Department of Education, Science and Training (DEST) in 2003.

The sections featured news and views on healthy ageing and quality of living, including summaries of national media stories, publications, press releases, events, government facts and figures and other information pertinent to Australia's ageing population. Periodical updates ensured that the issues covered the latest information for information of the Australian community. The stories were organised under two sub-sections:
