Professor Wilson Joined ACU National on 15 May 2006. He was professor of Psychology at Southern Cross University previously. Over the course of his prestigious 26 year career in higher education, he has also gained wide experience in four other Australian universities: Flinders University, University of Sydney, University Of Western Australia, University of New South Wales.
Peter Wilson's interests are in the area of clinic and health psychology with the scientist-practitioner model. My main research has been on (1) the cause and treatment of depression, (2) effectiveness of cognitive-behavioral management of chronic health problems as tinnitus (ringing in the ears), pain and diabetes. With the late Dr Jane Henry (University of New South Wales), Peter Wilson has published a series of studies on congnitive behavior therapy for tinnitus. His most recent work involves a large-scale dual study evaluation of relapse prevention for psychological distress related to tinnitus. We have also published two books on tinnitus.

Monika Bhatia has a postgraduate in Humanities and Social Sciences and a long history of community engagement at relevant Federal, State and Local Government levels. She is engaged with a cross-section of non-profit organisations working at the intersection of social policy research and societal practice.
