Further EndNote support

EndNote allows you to use SFX technology, which EndNote calls OpenURL, to search the library's electronic resources for the full text of articles whose details are stored in your EndNote library.

First, you must enable the SFX (OpenURL) function.

  • Open EndNote.
  • Click on Edit | Preferences.

  • Scroll down the list on the left side and highlight URLs & Links .
  • Click on the Enable OpenURL box.

  • Delete any URLs in the OpenURL Path text box and enter: http://ezproxy.acu.edu.au:2048/login?url=http://cooee.unilinc.edu.au:9003/acu (It's easiest to copy the text from this webpage with CTRL-C and paste it into the box with CTRL-V.)
  • Leave the text in the Arguments box alone.
  • Click on OK.

Now you can search for the full text of any reference.

  • Open your EndNote library.
  • Double-click on a reference to open it.
  • Click on References | URL | OpenURL Link.

  • SFX checks the available databases to see if the full text for this article is available. If it is, it will indicate where.
  • Choose which source to access the full text from.
  • SFX will locate the full text and display it on the screen.

If you have any problems using EndNote with SFX, please contact your local EndNote support person or contact Peter Blake via .
