Further EndNote support

You may occasionally find that you wish to cite an item that does not fit into one of EndNote's default reference types. In these cases, you can create a reference type that better suits your item:
  • Run EndNote.
  • Click on Edit | Preferences...
  • Click on Reference Types and then on Modify Reference Types...

  • Select one of the Unused reference types.

  • Give names to all the fields you want to appear in your reference type. (Matching your names to the closest bold heading will make it easier for you to adapt styles to work with your new reference type.)

  • Click on OK twice to save your changes and close the Modify Reference Types and Preferences windows.

You can now make new references based on your reference type.

If you have any problems adding new reference types, please contact your local EndNote support person or contact Peter Blake via .
