  • Click on the New Library New Library icon, or
  • Click on File | New...

 

  • Choose a location at which to save your new EndNote library.
  • Give your library a name, eg. My project.
  • Leave the Save as type: as it is - EndNote libraries always have a .enl extension.
  • Click on Save to create your library.

 

You are presented with an empty EndNote library, in this case, called My project.enl.

Alternatively, you can click on the icon to open an EndNote library that you have previously created.

You are now ready to add some references.
