Yes, you will need different usernames and passwords to access ereserve and each of the databases. This information is available from the ACUWeb Library information page within ACUWeb, or from ACUWeb Library support.
Most of the files on ereserve are in PDF format and require special software to be installed on your computer to view them. The software you need is Adobe Reader and is available, free of charge, from the Adobe web site.
Check the version of Adobe reader you are using. If it is less that 6.0, try downloading the latest version from the web site above. Remember, too, these files can be slow to download, especially with a dial-up internet connection, so be patient.
Instead of viewing readings on the screen, you can download them to your hard drive by right-clicking on the link to the reading. Place your cursor over the link, but instead of clicking the left button on your mouse as you normally would, click the right button instead. A small grey box will appear. Choose the Save Target As... option and save the file to your computer. You can now open and view the file direct from your hard drive. You will still need Adobe Reader installed on your computer to view PDF files.
Firstly, check to make sure you are using the appropriate username and password for the database. Each of the databases have unique usernames and passwords. You cannot use your ACUWeb username and password to access ereserve or the databases.
If you are using the Proquest databases, try the following:
If this doesn't work or you are using another database, try deleting the

The Library provides a document delivery service whereby you can request copies of articles or book sections available from ACU libraries, and they will be sent or emailed to you. Similarly, you may request that books held by ACU Libraries be sent out to you. You will need to allow time for the request to be processed and the item copied and/or sent to you. It will help speed up the process if you fill in all details on the request form. Copies of articles or book sections may be retained. It is the responsibility of the student to return books or other items to the Library on, or before, the due date and in good condition.
Use the forms on the Library Services to ACUWeb students
page to request the article or book from the ACU
libary (ACU staff & students only).
Higher degree students are able to request items held at non-ACU libraries also.
